This Mistral is one of 19 rare RHD models. Maserati only produced 120 Mistral
Spyders. Of that number only 12 were fitted with the legendary 3500 motor. This
car is one of those 12 and as far as I know one of just two RHD models with the
3500 (the first being the UK show model from 1964 which is now in Australia).
Was delivered with a hard top which has since gone missing. It was restored in
the late 80s-early 90s in the United States then run rarely and stored well. We
estimate that this Mistral has just over 1,000 miles on it since the
restoration. Receipts and photos of the process are available. We've traced the
history back through several US owners and now have a copy of the original UK
title. The car was a London delivery in 1965 - perhaps the first of that year.

Maserati Mistral History
The Pietro Frua designed Mistral is the last model Maserati fitted with the legendary straight-six cylinder,
5 gear-ZF transmission, twin-sparkplug, DOHC
engine. It evolved from the engine of the Maserati 250F Grand Prix cars that won 8 GP's 1954-60
& put Juan
Manuel Fangio on the top of the podium at the 1957 F1 World Championship.
